Tondelli, Riccione
As part of the redevelopment project for the Riccione City Theatre, a steel pavilion was planned as a monumental element at the entrance, and we were involved in its structural design. Unfortunately, although the theatre is undergoing renovation, the pavilion was never constructed.
The proposed structure was slender and vertical, characterized by minimalist elegance but subject to buckling concerns. To address this issue, steel plates were applied between columns, reducing the effective buckling length and ensuring the overall stability of the structure without compromising its visual lightness.
